Ask the better question
Ask the Better Question
John 5:6
“Do you want to be made well?”
Jesus asked a man who had been sick for thirty-eight years what sounded like an obvious question. But sometimes we become so accustomed to dysfunction that healing requires more than desire. It requires a willingness to change.
We can pray for different circumstances while protecting the habits that keep producing the same results. We want peace but keep entertaining chaos. We want better health but resist discipline. We want stronger relationships but refuse difficult conversations.
Jesus’ question still reaches us: Do you really want change, or do you simply want relief?
Here’s the challenge: What have you been asking God to change while refusing to change your part?
Action Step: Identify one behavior connected to an area where you want improvement and change that behavior today.
Have a transforming and Victorious Tuesday
