Don't let envy eat your joy
Don't Let Envy Eat Your Joy
Proverbs 14:30
"A sound heart is life to the body, but envy is rottenness to the bones."
Envy rarely announces itself. It slips in quietly when someone else gets the opportunity you wanted, receives the recognition you expected, or seems to be enjoying the life you prayed for.
The danger of envy is that it makes another person's blessing feel like your loss. But God's goodness to somebody else does not mean He has run out of goodness for you. Their testimony is not evidence that you were overlooked. It is evidence that God is still blessing people.
You can celebrate someone else without diminishing yourself. What God has assigned to your life still has your name on it.
Here's the challenge: Can you genuinely celebrate what God is doing for someone else while you are still waiting for your turn?
Action Step: Congratulate or encourage one person today whose success might normally trigger comparison in you.
Have a contented and Victorious Monday
